CIS Short Courses - Fall 2009
These short courses are designed for TAMU students, although faculty and staff are welcome to attend. TAMU faculty and staff are also encouraged to visit Employee & Organizational Development for more in-depth computer training.
Help Desk Central is pleased to offer free short courses covering a wide variety of computing topics for the TAMU student.
The schedule of short courses to be taught is usually made available during the first week of classes each semester and can be found in both printed form in each department and via this Web page.
Please note that you will need to register for most of these courses. A form is provided with the schedule so that you may register for these courses on-line.
Due to the limited number of seats and large number of interested students, cancellation from any class is expected at least 24 hours in advance via this Web site. Students who fail to either attend or cancel three (3) classes in any semester will be dropped automatically from all remaining registered classes. Those who wish to re-register for desired classes are welcomed to do so.
Short Courses will now be presented in Teague B006 (basement). Take the elevator to level B and turn left when you exit. Room B006 is located at the end of the hall.
Note for faculty and/or staff: If there is a course that is offered that you would like to be given to your department or class (in addition to those already offered in the schedule), you may contact the course instructor for arranging a time, or by sending email to Training Coordinator. If there is a topic that you feel would be of interest to a sizeable population at Texas A&M University, please feel free to contact us.
