As a student of Texas A&M, you automatically have an OAL account. However, to use the computers in the labs, you will need to activate your account:
Printing over your allocation and all large format (plotter) printing are billed to your fee statement. To easily view your print activity, print history, and current charges, log in to an OAL computer and click the MyPrintCharges icon on the Start menu.
For more information and instructions on printing at the labs, go to the OAL Printing page.
Note: For students printing documents or plots at the OAL for their professor, be sure that you receive authorization to use the professor's print allocation. Otherwise, your account can be charged. For more information, see the Print Charges Handout.
If you are considering using file sharing (especially peer-to-peer), be sure to read Important Information About Using A&M's Electronic Resources For Digital File Sharing. It helps you know the rules so you can comply with copyright laws and university regulations. For more on student computing issues, see the Student Computing Information Page.
