The Internal Services group is dedicated to supporting the needs of CIS management and staff as well as the staffs of other groups reporting to the Associate Provost for Information Technology. We provide a wide range of services that are essential to achieving the department's mission and strategic goals.

Business Support Services (BSS)
BSS facilitates the daily business activities of CIS including accounts payable and purchasing, accounts receivable and billing, inventory, business travel, as well as, budgeting, fiscal planning, and reporting. BSS also encompasses Account Services. The Account Services Office provides students, faculty, staff members, departments, and retired faculty access to the many computing resources available from CIS at Texas A&M University.

Business Contracts (BC)
BC provides the organization with support on software contracts and contract negotiations.

Communications and Marketing (C&M)
C&M's responsibilities include providing CIS groups with web site design and administration as well as the more traditional forms of departmental communications including newsletters, brochures, technical writing, and editing. Services such as identity development, logo conceptualization and design, information campaign planning, and other consulting and graphic design services are also performed by C&M.

Human Resources and Payroll Services (HR)
HR looks after the employee side of CIS including employee assessments, training, recruiting, staffing, and other organizational development. They also process leave requests and time allocation as well as the disbursal of payroll.

LAN and Workstation Support (LWS)
CIS also operates an internal team that supports all of its own workstations, PCs, servers, and LAN. It also provides support for and maintains CIS' core software applications, workstation upgrade process, and electronic connectivity.

Management Information Systems (MIS)
MIS supports a number of CIS initiatives through application design and development. Projects and products developed and/or supported include: CIS' time management and human resources system, communications resource and inventory billing, and CLAIM.
