Non-College Station campuses need to contact the SELL to determine if their location is eligible for purchasing the software through our department. Due to international licensing issues, the Qatar campus is not eligible for the SPSS license through the SELL.

There is a separate Student License available for students. The license described on this page is for departments only.

Description of Software

As of 2/20/2007, our current version is SPSS 15.

SPSS is a statistical analysis software. When you purchase an SPSS site license you will receive SPSS Base, Professional Statistics and Advance Statistics.

SPSS Base module combines comprehensive data editing and management, extensive statistical capabilities, integrated graphics, and flexible reporting features in an easy-to-use graphical user interface.

SPSS Professional Statistics provides techniques to measure the similarities and differences in data, classify data, identify underlying dimensions, and more. It includes procedures for these analyses: cluster, k-means cluster, discriminant, factor, multidimensional scaling, proximity, and reliability.

SPSS Advanced Statistics includes sophisticated techniques such as logistic regression, loglinear analysis, multivariate analysis of variance, constrained nonlinear regression, probit analysis, Cox regression, and Kaplan-Meier and actuarial survival analysis.
