Updates and Notices
Microsoft Office 2008 for Macintosh Now Available
Microsoft Office 2008 for Macintosh is now available on
software.tamu.edu for eligible students, faculty, and staff.
Additionally, departments that are signed up for the Microsoft license
who would like a copy of Office 2008 for their machines will need
to provide the SELL with a blank CD. The copy is normally ready
within a day.
Adobe Software Available to Faculty and Staff for a limited time
From Dec. 14th, 2007 to March 15th, 2008, Texas A&M Faculty and Staff can
purchase Adobe Acrobat 8, Adobe CS3 Web Design, or Adobe CS3 Design Premium
from software.tamu.edu for personal use. Departmental purchases must still
go through the SHI Academic Price List page.
Mathematica Software Now Available
The Mathematica software is now available from SELL. Please see the
Mathematica page for more information.
Price Changes for 2007-2008
Price changes for software products from last year.
- Autodesk site licenses for non-CS campuses have increased from
$6000 to $6600.
- ArcView has decreased from $30 to $25 per license.
- ArcInfo has decreased from $300 to $250 per license.
- LabView departmental licenses have decreased from $2500 to $2250.
- Nero has increased from $20 to $25 per license.
- PCTex departmental licenses have decreased from $350 to $300.
- PostalSoft has increased from $1455 to $3000 per license.
Renewals are still $500 per license.
- SAS has decreased from $50 to $45 per license.
- SigmaPlot has decreased from $300 to $200 per license.
- SigmaPlot renewals have increased from $75 to $85 per license.
- SPSS has increased from $125 to $165 per license. Renewals are
still $10 per license.

Adobe/Macromedia Licensing Available
A&M now has systemwide enrollment through the SHI for purchasing of Adobe
and Macromedia products. For a list of the software, pricing, and order forms,
please visit the SHI Academic Price List page. Again, departments
do not need to fill out the Enrollment form.
New Students interested in Microsoft
Software
You will need to be registered for courses before you can
order the software. Normally students are able to place their
order the day after they register for classes. Once you are
a registered student, you can place your order by going to
the software.tamu.edu Web
page.
You will need to use your NetID to login. To set up your NetID,
go to the Aggie Gateway and follow
the link there to activate your NetID.
