NetID Account Management

All NetID account management tools can be accessed at the Aggie Computing Gateway.

  • Activate NetID - New users can choose a NetID, select a password, and set up their TAMU Email address. You will need your Universal Identification Number (UIN) to set up your NetID.
  • Edit Directory - This application allows you to update your email and directory information including email forwarding options and directory display name. You can also add a web page address where people can visit to find out more information about you.
  • NetID Password Expiration Date - To help maintain a secure connecting environment, NetID passwords expire every six months and must be changed to remain valid. Use this tool to look up when your NetID password will expire.
  • Change NetID Password - If you know your NetID password and need to set a new one, change your password using this application.
  • Set Password Security Questions - This application lets you select three security questions that can be used to verify your identity if you need to reset a forgotten NetID password. It lets you use Self-Service Password Reset if you forget your password. Read more about using Self-Service Password Reset.
  • Self-Service Password Reset - If you forgot your NetID password and have set up your password security questions, use this application to reset your password. You will need to answer your security questions to verify your identity. Get more information about Self-Service Password Reset.
  • Reset Forgotten Password - If you forgot your NetID password and haven't set up your password security questions, first visit an Open Access Lab or Help Desk Central, or call 979.845.8300 to have your account marked. After your account has been marked, set your new password using this application.
