TAMUDirect provides a convenient way for authorized individuals to send email to specific groups of recipients within the Texas A&M University community. TAMUDirect uses Sympa, a mailing list software, to verify an email's authenticity and distribute the message to target recipients. TAMUDirect is available at tamudirect.tamu.edu.

Special Mailing Lists

TAMUDirect can provide a powerful tool for directed messaging to campus subpopulations. CIS can provide colleges and departments with mailing lists targeting various campus populations. Mailing lists can be created containing students enrolled in particular majors, minors, or major-options in a college or department. Groups can be further divided to create lists targeting undergraduates, graduate students, or other student classifications. Instructors can ask for lists of students in a specific major in their classes. To request special mailing lists, contact CIS at tamudirect@tamu.edu to arrange a meeting with the Sympa listmaster.
