Help Desk Repair provides hardware and connectivity services for current students, and active or retired faculty and staff of Texas A&M University.

Note: When requesting services, please be prepared to present your TAMU ID.

No-Charge Services

  • Perform inspection and advise customer of issues
  • Set up wireless access
  • Install and configure VPN software

For-Fee Services ($36)

We accept credit or debit cards, personal checks, and cash (must have exact change).
  • Install Windows or Apple operating system
  • Virus and spyware scanning and removal 
  • Data recovery services*
*Note that Help Desk Repair cannot guarantee total data recovery or complete safey of your backups, since issues beyond our control could erase or corrupt data.

Warranty Repair

Students, faculty, and staff with personally owned Dell or Apple computers under warranty can have their machines repaired through CIS, instead of the manufacturer. Please call Help Desk Repair at 979.845.8300 for assistance.

Note: CIS Microcomputer Repair is the warranty service provider, but personally owned computers must be handled through Help Desk Repair. Please do not contact Microcomputer Repair directly.
