Executive Director

 Dr. Miner "Pete" Marchbanks serves as the Executive Director for Computing and Information Services (CIS) and Deputy Chief Information Officer (CIO). Dr. Marchbanks is also the Director of Instructional Media Services. The Executive Director and Deputy CIO is responsible for the overall direction, leadership, planning, and accountability for the operations of CIS.

Since 1967, Dr. Marchbanks has served in a variety of technical and managerial roles for administrative computing development projects, technology resource accounting, and customer service operations. He also has taught computer science courses at Texas A&M. Dr. Marchbanks formerly held the position of system coordinator for the Comptroller of the US Army's Office of Information Systems and served as interim executive director of CIS from August 2007 to May 2009. He earned a bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University and master's and doctoral degrees in computer science from Texas A&M University.
