Customer Applications
Steve Williams, Associate Director
CA designs, develops, tailors and maintains computing systems on a variety of hardware platforms for offices within The Texas A&M University System. Members of CA also perform web development, programming and support on sites ranging from 10 to over 1,400 pages. They also provide microcomputer and local area network (LAN) support.

Customer Sales & Services
Dan Galvin, Associate Director
For the faculty and staff of Texas A&M University, Customer Sales offers a number of services ranging from media equipment checkout and PC repair to web hosting and software licensing. Customer Sales represents the following areas:
  • Customer Service/CLAIM
  • Microcomputer Repair Service
  • Software Evaluation & Licensing
Infrastructure Systems & Services 
Cheryl Cato, Associate Director
This group is charged with support for the central servers operated by CIS. This support focuses primarily on the operating systems and closely related utilities and programs. The group is comprised of the following teams:
  • Database Services
  • Continuance and Mainframe Services
  • Infrastructure Systems 

Internal Services
Dan Galvin, Associate Director
Internal Services supports the staff and management of CIS  as well as other groups reporting to the Vice President and Associate Provost for Information Technology. It provides a number of key services for CIS leaders and employees including:
  • Business Support Services
  • Business Contracts
  • Communications & Marketing
  • Human Resources and Payroll Services
  • LAN and Workstation Support
  • Management Information Systems Support
Networking and Information Security (NIS)
Willis Marti, Director
NIS is responsible for the campus network backbone and LANs in over 340 buildings. This group also secures the information resources of Texas A&M, prepares IT Policy, provides remote office networking services and maintains Texas A&M's DNS servers, dial-up bank,  and connectivity to the Internet . NIS consists of six teams:
  • Field Services
  • Information Technology Issues Management
  • Network Engineering
  • Network Installation
  • Network Security
  • Network Systems
Open Access Computing Facilities
Richard Spiller, Associate Director
This group is operates the five Open Access Labs (OALs) on campus, that provide students and faculty with easy and complete access to computers, peripherals, software and connectivity to the network, Internet, and electronic mail. This group is responsible for:
  • Open Access Labs
  • OAL Computer Classrooms
  • Equipment
  • LAN Systems Support
Operations & Customer Help
John Rauser, Associate Director
Two well-known services provided by Operations & Customer Help are Help Desk Central and the Help Desk Repair. They are also responsible for managing CIS facilities including the Operations Center, Print Center, and tape back-up system.

Supercomputing
Spiros Vellas, Associate Director
The Supercomputing facility is dedicated to providing the hardware, software and related services needed by university faculty and students for research and educational needs. They also provide the following supercomputer services:
